02Promotion Periods
This promotion runs on recurring monthly periods. Each “Promotion Period” begins at 12:00:01 AM ET on the 1st calendar day of the month and ends at 11:59:59 PM ET on the 28th calendar day of the same month. One (1) Award is given per Promotion Period.
The promotion continues monthly until terminated by AIG in its sole discretion. AIG will provide reasonable notice on its website prior to terminating the promotion.
03Eligibility
Open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older and who are not existing AIG account holders as of the first day of the applicable Promotion Period. Employees, officers, directors, contractors, and agents of AIG, its affiliates, and the immediate family and household members of each are not eligible. Void where prohibited.
A customer may qualify in any Promotion Period in which they are eligible, but a single customer may receive no more than one (1) Award in any rolling twelve (12) month period, regardless of qualifying activity in other months.
04How to Qualify
To qualify for a given Promotion Period's Award, a customer must, during that Promotion Period:
- Open a new account with American Independence Gold; and
- Complete a fully funded, qualifying purchase of $10,000 or more in precious metals through that account.
A “qualifying purchase” means a precious metals purchase that has been (a) paid in full with cleared funds received by AIG on or before 11:59:59 PM ET on the 28th of the applicable month, (b) not cancelled, returned, or charged back, and (c) for IRA-funded transactions, the funds have been received from the custodian and the order has been allocated within the Promotion Period.
05Award Recipient — Objective Selection Criterion
For each Promotion Period, the Award will be given to the single qualifying customer with the highest single-transaction qualifying purchase amount during that Promotion Period. No random drawing or chance-based selection is involved.
In the event of a tie (two or more qualifying customers with identical highest qualifying purchase amounts), the Award will go to the customer whose qualifying purchase had funds cleared earliest in time, as recorded in AIG's transaction records. AIG's records are the official source for determining qualification, amount, and timing, and are final.
06Award
One (1) five gram (5 g) gold bar per Promotion Period. Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $750 per Award. Actual spot price may vary; no cash difference will be paid in either direction. The Award is non-transferable and non-substitutable except by AIG in its sole discretion for an item of equal or greater value.
07Notification and Claim
The qualifying recipient for each Promotion Period will be contacted by AIG by email and phone within seven (7) calendar days after the end of the Promotion Period, using the contact information on file with their AIG account. The recipient must respond and complete any required documentation (including IRS Form W-9 and an acknowledgment of receipt) within seven (7) business days of AIG's first notification attempt.
If the recipient cannot be reached or fails to complete required documentation within that window, AIG reserves the right to award the gold bar to the customer with the next-highest qualifying purchase under the criterion in Section 05, or to roll the Award forward at AIG's discretion.
The Award will be shipped, insured, to the recipient's verified address within thirty (30) days of completed documentation.
08Taxes
The recipient is solely responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes associated with the Award. AIG will issue an IRS Form 1099-MISC for each Award reflecting its ARV where required by applicable tax law.
09General Conditions
This is a customer appreciation promotion offered by AIG in connection with new-account precious metals purchases. It is not a sweepstakes, contest, raffle, lottery, or game of chance. The selection of each Promotion Period's Award recipient is determined entirely by the objective criterion in Section 05.
AIG reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the promotion (in whole or as to any individual Promotion Period) at any time if it determines, in its sole discretion, that the promotion is not capable of being conducted as planned, including in the event of fraud, technical failure, or any cause beyond AIG's reasonable control. Modifications applicable to a future Promotion Period will be posted on AIG's website prior to the start of that period. AIG's decisions on all matters relating to this promotion are final and binding.
10No Investment Advice
Participation in this promotion does not constitute, and should not be relied upon as, investment, tax, or legal advice. All precious metals purchases are subject to AIG's standard purchase agreement, account terms, and applicable disclosures, which govern the transaction independently of this promotion.
11Publicity
Except where prohibited, the Award recipient consents to AIG's use of their name, city/state of residence, and Award information (including Promotion Period month) in promotional materials. AIG will not use the recipient's likeness or photograph without separate written consent.
12Privacy
Information collected from participants is subject to AIG's Privacy Policy at americanindependencegold.com/privacy.
13Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Palm Beach County, Florida, on an individual (non-class) basis.
